Role Purpose
The Social Media Specialist owns publishing, the social calendar, engagement, influencer partnerships, and platform-native execution. This is a hands-on role for someone who can run day-to-day social operations, help create or edit content, and support discoverability through basic SEO awareness and platform optimization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Own the social media calendar, publishing cadence, and day-to-day platform execution.
- Create, edit, and publish platform-native content across Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, YouTube Shorts, and other relevant channels.
- Manage community engagement by responding to comments, messages, and audience interactions in a timely and brand-aligned way.
- Support influencer and creator partnerships by identifying creators, coordinating content, tracking deliverables, and ensuring brand fit.
- Assist with basic content editing, repurposing, subtitles, captions, and simple creative adaptations for social platforms.
- Collaborate with the content strategist, video creator, and marketing lead to turn ideas into social-ready execution.
- Help improve discoverability by applying basic SEO thinking to captions, hashtags, titles, bios, and social-first content packaging.
- Track platform performance metrics such as reach, engagement, saves, shares, views, follower growth, click-throughs, and content response.
Required Skills & Experience:
- Around 4 years of experience in social media, content marketing, or digital marketing. This can be flexible if the candidate has strong output and good execution skills.
- Strong understanding of social platform behavior, content formats, and platform-native execution.
- Basic editing ability in tools like CapCut, Canva, or similar platforms.
- Familiarity with influencer coordination and creator partnerships.
- Basic SEO awareness, especially around captions, keywords, metadata, and discoverability.
- Strong writing and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently, stay organized, and keep the calendar moving without constant follow-up.
