ABOUT SAKALYA
Sakalya by Anshita is a holistic mental health practice led by a counseling psychologist and hypnotherapist. Sakalya means "the whole", reflecting our integrative, mind-body-spirit approach to care.
The gap we're addressing: Most therapy today is fragmented. Many therapists tend to focus on just one piece of a person, usually the mind, while the body, nutrition, sleep, and the spiritual dimensions of meaning and purpose go unaddressed. Healing also tends to happen in isolation, confined to the one-on-one session, when real, lasting resilience often comes from connection and community.
Our mission: We practice true integrative care, treating mind, body and spirit as one system. That means attending to nutrition, sleep and somatic health alongside traditional talk therapy, and sometimes even recommending a blood checkup, while also holding space for each client's deeper sense of meaning, value and purpose. We believe healing isn't only about doing the hard inner work, it's equally about rediscovering fun, creativity and curiosity toward the world, toward ourselves, toward others, and toward spirit. Instead of seeing clients as passive recipients of advice, we meet clients as equal partners in their healing, and we hold ourselves to the same standard of inner work we ask of our clients, through our own ongoing personal therapy and supervision.
Our vision: We're building toward community as medicine. Beyond individual sessions, we want to grow a wider network of people connected through group retreats, workshops, and shared spaces, reconnecting with nature, with each other, and with a sense of collective consciousness that counters isolation and disconnection. We're also working to make this community more accessible and inclusive for all, including learning Indian Sign Language to better serve the Deaf and hard of hearing community. Longer term, we aim to expand and grow Sakalya beyond India into an international practice and community.
I currently run Sakalya solo, and part of this vision includes expanding to collaborate with other mental health professionals as we grow.
