Position: Social Media Manager (Government/Ministry projects) - Advertising Agency

Location: Delhi Onsite

Experience: 6–8 years (Advertising / INS Accredited Agency preferred)


Role Overview:

We are seeking a seasoned Social Media Manager to lead digital strategy, drive impactful campaigns, and manage high-value clients, including government and PSU accounts. This role requires a strategic thinker with strong leadership capabilities and deep agency. The ideal candidate should have experience in managing social media for government, PSU/ Ministries, or large-scale campaigns within an advertising agency environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead end-to-end social media strategy for multiple brands and large-scale campaigns.
  • Oversee content planning, execution, and optimization across platforms
  • Manage and mentor a team of social media executives, content writers, video editors and designers.
  • Drive campaign ideation aligned with brand objectives and client expectations.
  • Liaise directly with clients, including government/PSU stakeholders, ensuring timely delivery and approvals
  • Analyze performance metrics and present insights/reports to clients and leadership
  • Collaborate with internal teams (creative, media, strategy) for integrated campaigns

 

Required Skills & Experience:

  1. 7+ years of experience in social media management within an advertising agency preferably working with Ministries/PSU Govt Clients
  2. Proven experience managing large accounts and leading teams
  3. Strong understanding of analytics, social media tools, and digital trends
  4. Excellent client servicing and stakeholder management skills
  5. Ability to handle high-pressure environments and tight deadlines
  6. Hands-on experience working with government clients/PSU/ Ministries is mandatory.
  7. Strong coordination skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  8. Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  9. Strong organizational and stakeholder management skills.
  10. Comfortable working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in mass communication, Marketing, Advertising, or a related field.
  • Experience handling large-scale campaigns or public sector accounts.
  • Familiarity with campaign workflows, approvals, and reporting structures.
