ABOUT VZY
VZY is building India's most discovery-forward entertainment platform, a Universe of Content that makes finding something great to watch effortless. VZY is a brand in active formation, and we are building a social presence that feels alive, opinionated, and worth following. Not because we have a big budget, but because we have a distinct point of view.
THE ROLE
We are looking for a Social Media Manager who is platform-native by instinct, not just by job description. Someone who scrolls with intent, spots a trend before it peaks, writes a caption that actually lands, and builds a community that shows up.
You will own VZY's social presence across platforms, designing the calendar, producing content, driving real engagement, and amplifying brand campaigns with a digital-first lens. You will work closely with the Head of Brand Communications and the broader comms team.
WHAT YOU WILL OWN
- Own and manage VZY's social media presence across Instagram, YouTube, X, Facebook, and emerging platforms.
- Develop and execute monthly content calendars, balancing brand campaigns, platform-native formats, cultural moments, and community content.
- Write sharp, platform-appropriate copy across all formats: reels, static posts, stories, threads, YouTube descriptions, and more.
- Ideate and produce social-first content IPs and series including short-form video, interactive formats, polls, and community activations.
- Collaborate with creative resources to brief, produce, and publish content with speed and without losing quality.
- Monitor trends, memes, and cultural conversations in real time, and know when VZY has a right to show up in them.
- Manage community engagement: respond to comments, DMs, and conversations in a manner consistent with VZY's brand voice.
- Track and report on performance across reach, engagement, follower growth, video views, and CTRs, and use data to evolve the content strategy.
- Coordinate with performance and growth teams to amplify organic content through paid distribution when required.
- Support ATL and OTT campaign launches with a robust social amplification plan, from teaser to sustenance.
THE PROFILE WE ARE LOOKING FOR
Platform Intelligence — Non-Negotiable
You live on these platforms. You understand the algorithm, the culture, and the unwritten rules of each. You know the difference between a LinkedIn thought piece and an Instagram carousel, and you would never swap the two. Experience with creator-side tools like Meta Business Suite, YouTube Studio, or Hootsuite is expected.
Writing That Punches — Required
Your copy is clean, your hooks are fast, and your captions do not feel like they were written by a committee. You are equally comfortable writing for reach and writing for depth.
Agency or Digital-First Brand Background — Strongly Preferred
Experience at a digital agency, content studio, or fast-moving consumer brand where you handled real-time content under genuine pressure is a strong indicator. A portfolio of brand social handles you have managed is worth more than any certification.
Entertainment or OTT Sensibility — A Plus
If you understand how entertainment brands build fandoms and how streaming platforms talk to audiences, you will fit in quickly.
