About KIAN Foundation
KIAN Foundation is a contemporary art gallery based in Pune, with a presence in Goa, representing established and emerging artists from India and around the world. We are guided by a simple belief: "Art which is not discovered is Art lost." Our work spans world-class exhibitions, cross-cultural artistic exploration, and building a serious platform for collectors and art lovers.
This year marks a defining moment for us. KIAN presents Devi in New Delhi — a landmark exhibition and the second chapter of our ambitious trilogy, following Shakti and preceding Adishakti in 2027. We're growing our team to match that ambition, and we're looking for a Social Media Manager to lead how the world discovers KIAN online.
The Opportunity
This is a rare chance to own the digital voice of a gallery at a pivotal moment in its story. You won't be managing social media in the background — you'll be shaping how thousands of people experience Devi, our artists, and everything that follows. If you combine genuine creative talent with the discipline to show up consistently, and you care about art and culture, this role is built for you.
We're looking for someone who can do two things exceptionally well: create meaningful, beautiful content, and post with unwavering consistency. Both matter equally.
What You'll Do
Content creation & storytelling
- Conceptualise, shoot, and produce high-quality content, photography, reels, short-form video, and graphics, that captures the beauty and depth of our exhibitions and artists
- Lead the digital narrative for major exhibitions, beginning with Devi in Delhi, and carry it through to Adishakti
- Write compelling captions and stories that make art accessible, emotive, and share-worthy
- Develop a distinctive visual and editorial style that reflects KIAN's identity
Planning & consistency
- Build and maintain a content calendar across Instagram, LinkedIn, Facebook, and emerging platforms
- Post consistently and on schedule, maintaining a steady, professional rhythm rather than sporadic bursts
- Coordinate content around openings, artist features, new works, and gallery milestones
Community & growth
- Grow followers, reach, and engagement across all channels
- Actively engage with our community, responding to comments, messages, and building relationships with artists, collectors, and the wider art world
- Identify and act on trends, collaborations, and opportunities to expand KIAN's audience
Events & real-time coverage
- Cover gallery openings, exhibitions, and events in real time through stories, reels, and live content — including on-location coverage of Devi in Delhi
Strategy & performance
- Track performance across platforms and report on what's working
- Use insights to refine content strategy, formats, and posting approach over time
- Contribute ideas to broader marketing and brand initiatives
What We're Looking For
Required
- 2–4 years of experience managing social media for a brand, gallery, business, or creator (a strong portfolio is required)
- A demonstrable eye for visual content, you understand composition, aesthetics, and what makes people stop scrolling
- Hands-on content creation skills: photography and short-form video (reels), plus design tools such as Canva or the Adobe Creative Suite
- Excellent writing and storytelling ability in English
- Proven reliability and consistency, you deliver on a schedule, every time
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple channels and deadlines independently
Preferred
- A genuine interest in art, design, or culture (background or education in the arts is a plus)
- Experience with video editing tools (CapCut, Premiere Pro, or similar)
- Familiarity with social media analytics and paid promotion
- Photography/videography experience in gallery, event, or lifestyle settings
You'll thrive here if you are
- Self-driven and take ownership without needing to be chased
- Detail-obsessed about quality and presentation
- Comfortable being on-site and on-location, including at events
- Excited to be part of building something ambitious
Details
- Full-time, on-site in Pune (some travel for exhibitions, including Delhi)
- Reports to: Founder / Marketing Lead
- Compensation: Competitive, based on experience
