A Social Media Manager is responsible for planning, executing, and optimizing a brand’s presence across social media platforms to drive awareness, engagement, and business outcomes.
Responsibilities: -
Social Media:
- Content Creation: Develop high-quality and engaging content for all social media channels, including text, images, videos, and other multimedia formats. Tailor content to suit the user preferences of each platform and maintain consistency in brand voice.
- Scheduling: Create & follow mechanisms to plan, prioritize, automate and maintain daily/weekly/monthly/quarterly/annual calendar aligned to marketing and business priorities, with clearly defined KPIs
- Paid Social Media Advertising: Plan, execute, and monitor paid social media campaigns to boost visibility and achieve marketing objectives.
- Analytics and Reporting: Track, analyse, and report on key performance metrics, such as engagement, reach, conversion rates, and follower growth. Use data-driven insights to optimize social media campaigns. Regular monitoring and reporting of performance through presentations, leading calls and face-to-face meetings with stakeholders.
- Influencer and Partnership Collaboration: Identify and collaborate with relevant influencers and partners to expand our brand's reach and credibility within the target audience.
- Events: Live Events management including Live streaming & live updates on social platforms
- Social Listening: Stay attuned to online conversations and trends related to our industry, products, and brand. Use social listening tools to gain insights and adapt strategies accordingly.
- Social Media Trends and Innovation: Stay up-to-date with the latest social media trends, algorithm changes, and emerging platforms to ensure our strategies remain current and effective.
- Nurture a consistent one-voice & brand approach across channels in terms of style, language, quality, and aligned with key messages.
- Work collaboratively with the creative & media agency as well as internal stakeholders ORM & Community Management Monitor and actively engage with our social media communities by responding to comments, messages, and inquiries in a timely and professional manner. Foster positive interactions and address any issues or concerns promptly.
- Executing ORM strategies on Social, Quora & Partner portals like Shiksha. Com etc
- Content seeding on platforms – Month-on month Q&A seeding across above platforms.
- Reputation Monitoring & analysis - Monitor online mentions, reviews, comments, and discussions across various platforms, including social media, review sites, forums, and news outlets.
- Review Management - Manage online reviews and ratings across social platforms to ensure timely responses and resolution of customer concerns.
- Crisis and Issues Management - Actively monitor and address potential reputation crises or negative situations that may arise online.
- Content Creation & Optimization - Optimise positive content including articles, blogs & social media content.
- Performance Monitoring and Reporting - Track and analyse key metrics, such as sentiment analysis, engagement levels, and brand mentions.
Key Competencies :-
- 8-10+ years of proven work experience as a Social Media Specialist
- Excellent copywriting skills.
- Proficiency in using the Ads Manager tool is a must, familiarity with other advertising tools on the platform.
- Familiarity with A/B testing methodologies for creatives and content
- Understanding of Youtube and LinkedIn advertising features and managing paid campaigns
- Data-driven mindset with the ability to analyze social media metrics and derive actionable insights.
- Track record of executing content plans for various audiences and verticals, managing multiple initiatives, defining & meeting budget, deadline, and goal expectations
- Proven experience guiding creative input, development, and execution from concept to completion.
- Practical knowledge of the creator ecosystem and platform metrics across Instagram, Meta, LinkedIn, Twitter & You Tube.
- Foundational understanding of social media advertising, marketing concepts & KPIs
- Strong written and verbal communication and presentation skills, including the ability to translate analyses into easily digestible stories for internal consumption.
