Chumley is an early-stage tech startup building software that gives tradespeople the flexibility and tools they need to focus on their work, streamlining workflows and keeping more engineers operating at optimum levels. The team is small, ambitious, and focused on shipping practical, high-impact tools used in the field every day.
Chumley is looking for a Social Media Manager to own how the brand shows up online and grow its presence from early-stage to a globally recognised voice in AI, SaaS, and the future of services. You will lead content across LinkedIn, Instagram, X, and emerging platforms, shaping the visual identity, tone, and storytelling that drives awareness, credibility, and inbound interest.
What you'll be doing
- Owning the social media strategy across LinkedIn, Instagram, X, and emerging platforms like TikTok, YouTube Shorts, and Threads.
- Creating and shipping content daily, including posts, carousels, short-form video, threads, infographics, and founder thought leadership.
- Growing follower count and engagement meaningfully, with a focus on the right audience rather than vanity metrics.
- Developing a distinct visual and verbal identity that reflects Chumley's brand aesthetic.
- Turning complex product, AI, and operational stories into content that lands with both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Running experiments across formats, hooks, posting times, and paid amplification, then doubling down on what works.
- Engaging with the community by replying, reposting, and building relationships with operators, founders, and creators in the space.
- Collaborating with the founder on personal brand and thought leadership content.
What we're looking for
- Proven ability to grow real audiences online, whether for your own account, a brand, a client, or a side project. Numbers and links speak louder than years of experience.
- Strong instincts for what works on each platform and why.
- Sharp writing skills and a good eye for design, with the ability to brief or DIY graphics and video edits.
- Comfort with AI tools like Claude, ChatGPT, Midjourney, Runway, and CapCut, used to move faster and ship more.
- Self-directed, high-output, and comfortable taking ownership in a remote, fast-moving startup.
- Curiosity about AI, SaaS, startups, and the future of work.
Nice to have
- Experience marketing services businesses, prop-tech, B2B SaaS, or consumer apps.
- A track record of building creator partnerships or running influencer campaigns.
- Familiarity with paid social, analytics tools, and attribution.
- Background in design, video editing, or motion graphics.
- Experience working across UK and global time zones.
