Job details:
What would you do if 3-4 Almanac pages were entirely yours to run: not assigned to you, but yours, the way a creator owns their own channel?
What the role is
We used to pay influencers to make Almanac look good on Instagram. We've decided that's backwards — the people who actually show up, shoot, and edit our content should be the ones building the following, not a stranger with a bigger account. That's you. You travel to the property, shoot it, edit it yourself, and often you're in the content too: talking to camera, showing what it's actually like to be there, not narrating it like an ad. This only really works if you're genuinely good at both halves of the job. A great shooter who can't edit, or a sharp editor who can't shoot, is only doing half the role, there’s no one else here catching what you
miss.
What you'll actually be doing
• Traveling to your assigned properties on a shoot schedule, expect regular travel across South India
• Shooting photo and video that looks like the place actually looks, not over-styled or over-warm-
toned
• Editing it yourself into something genuinely postable, reels that don't feel like ads, stills that don't
feel like listing photos
• Being on camera when it fits: a lot of what works right now is a real person talking, not a drone
shot with a voiceover
• Posting on your own calendar and handling your own comments and DMs
• Genuinely caring about how your pages are doing — growth, comments, saves, the way you'd care
about your own account
How we'll know it's working
• Your pages actually growing, not just posting on schedule
• Edits that feel worth stopping to watch
• Comments and saves that suggest people are genuinely moved, not just scrolling past
What we're looking for
• 2-3 years of hands-on shooting and editing experience: send us your reel, not your resume
• You've made something on a phone or a decent camera and turned it into a finished, published
piece of content, alone, start to finish
• Comfortable on camera, this one's a real requirement, not a nice-to-have
• Genuinely fine with travel: buses, early trains, homestays with patchy signal in the middle of
nowhere
• Can work independently on-site from a brief, without someone hovering
- Comfortable with editing tools — Adobe Premiere Pro or Final Cut Pro / DaVinci Resolve for video, Lightroom or Photoshop for stills, and CapCut or VN for fast mobile-first edits
This probably isn't your role if
• Editing is the part you rush through or outsource, that’ll show up fast here
• You'd rather stay behind the camera only and never appear in the content
- Frequent travel to remote places with patchy signal sounds like a dealbreaker, not an adventure
