BTEC Universities | Contract / Retainer | Potential to convert to full-time
BTEC Universities is an international student recruitment and education consultancy with offices in the UAE and a growing presence in Kochi, Kerala. We help students secure admissions to universities across the UK, Europe, Australia, and the US and we're looking for a creative freelancer to power our social media presence.
What you'll do
- Design social media creatives (Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn) campaign posts, carousels, ads, and stories
- Edit short-form video content: reels, student testimonials, university spotlights, and webinar promos
- Adapt content for the Kerala/South India student audience, including Malayalam-language reels
- Work from briefs provided by our team and deliver within agreed turnaround times
- Maintain brand consistency across all creative output
What we're looking for
- Proven portfolio of social media design and short-form video editing (this matters more than years of experience)
- Proficiency in tools like Adobe Premiere Pro / After Effects / CapCut and Photoshop / Illustrator / Canva
- Understanding of Instagram reels trends, hooks, and formats that drive engagement
- Reliable turnaround: 48 hours for static creatives, 4–5 days for video
- Malayalam fluency is a strong plus
- Experience with education, study-abroad, or ed-tech content is a bonus
Engagement terms
- Monthly retainer or per-deliverable basis we're flexible for the right person
- Fully remote; Kochi-based candidates preferred for occasional in-person shoots
- Consistent monthly volume with priority windows during peak admission seasons
- High performers may be offered a full-time role at our Kochi office (Thevara)
