About the Role
We are a fast-growing digital marketing agency looking for a dynamic and creative Social Media Video Content Strategist to join our team. In this role, you will be the driving force behind engaging, scroll-stopping video content for a diverse portfolio of clients across multiple industries. You will own the content creation lifecycle — from ideation to execution — while managing all on-set and post-production coordination to deliver consistent, high-quality output.

Key Responsibilities
Content Strategy & Ideation
- Research and deeply understand each client's target audience, customer pain points, and purchasing behavior to develop relevant content concepts.
- Develop creative, platform-specific content ideas tailored for Instagram Reels, Facebook, YouTube Shorts, and TikTok.
- Build monthly content calendars that align with client goals, campaigns, and seasonal trends.
- Stay updated on trending audio, formats, and content styles across social media platforms to keep output fresh and competitive.
Video Production & Technical Execution
- Plan, coordinate, and execute video shoots — including managing shoot schedules, locations, talent, props, and equipment.
- Handle all technical aspects behind the camera: camera settings, lighting setup, audio quality, framing, and shot composition.
- Oversee or perform video editing, color grading, subtitling, and motion graphic additions to deliver polished final cuts.
- Ensure all content meets platform-specific technical requirements (aspect ratios, resolution, duration, file formats).
Client Coordination & Brand Alignment
- Work closely with account managers and clients to understand brand voice, visual identity, and campaign objectives.
- Present content concepts, storyboards, or shot lists to clients for approval before production.
- Incorporate feedback efficiently while maintaining creative quality and project timelines.
- Manage multiple client projects simultaneously, ensuring on-time delivery without compromising quality.
Performance & Optimization
- Analyze content performance metrics (reach, engagement, watch time, saves, shares) and apply insights to future content.
- Collaborate with the paid media team to produce video assets optimized for Meta Ads campaigns (Reels ads, Story ads, in-feed video).
- Continuously test different content formats, hooks, and CTAs to improve organic and paid performance.
Requirements
Experience & Skills
- Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience in social media video content creation, preferably within a marketing agency or production studio.
- Proven portfolio of short-form video content across Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, or TikTok.
- Strong proficiency with camera equipment (DSLR/mirrorless), lighting rigs, and audio recording devices.
- Solid video editing skills — proficiency in tools such as CapCut, Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or DaVinci Resolve.
- Good understanding of social media algorithms and what drives organic reach and engagement.
- Ability to independently develop content concepts with a strong strategic rationale backed by audience insight.
Soft Skills
- Excellent communication skills to articulate creative ideas clearly to clients and internal teams.
- Strong time management with the ability to juggle multiple projects under tight deadlines.
- Proactive, self-driven attitude — you take ownership without needing constant direction.
- High attention to detail in both creative output and project coordination.

Good to Have
Meta Ads experience is a strong plus. Candidates who have run or supported Meta (Facebook & Instagram) paid ad campaigns — including video ad creative production, A/B testing ad creatives, audience targeting, or reading Ads Manager data — will be given preference. A working knowledge of what makes a video perform well as a paid ad, not just organically, is highly valued.
Other bonuses:
- Experience with AI-assisted content creation tools (e.g. ElevenLabs, Runway, CapCut AI).
- Basic graphic design skills in Canva or Adobe Express.
- Familiarity with project management tools like Notion, Trello, or Asana.
