Role OverviewWe are looking for a hands-on Social Media Manager who can build and grow Sowaka’s social presence through consistent, high-quality content. This role requires someone who enjoys storytelling, capturing real moments from live events, and turning them into engaging social media content.
Key Responsibilities- Manage and grow Sowaka’s LinkedIn and Instagram presence.
- Plan and post regular content including event highlights, behind-the-scenes moments, customer testimonials, and insights related to HR, team culture and employee engagement.
- Attend Sowaka events to capture photos, videos, and real-time content.
- Create and edit reels, short-form videos, posts, and stories from event footage.
- Maintain a consistent content calendar and coordinate with the founders on messaging and ideas.
- Track performance of posts and identify what content drives engagement and reach.
Preferred Qualifications- Experience managing and growing an Instagram account, ideally to 10K+ followers.
- Strong skills in content creation and video editing.
- Comfortable using and experimenting with AI tools for content creation and editing.
- Ability to capture content at live events and turn it into engaging posts.
- Strong storytelling ability and a good sense of what works on social media.
