Role Overview
We are looking for a Social Listening Manager / Senior Manager to lead and scale our Social Listening practice. This role will be responsible for scaling and managing the social listening vertical as a revenue-generating unit, delivering high-quality insights, and supporting brands with real-time intelligence that informs communications, reputation management, and marketing strategy.
The ideal candidate combines analytical thinking and hands-on expertise with social listening platforms to translate online conversations into actionable insights.
Key Responsibilities
1. Lead the Social Listening Function
- Build and lead the agency’s Social Listening capability as a dedicated practice.
- Develop frameworks, methodologies, and best practices for monitoring and insights.
- Establish scalable processes for reporting, dashboards, and intelligence delivery.
2. Client Strategy & Insights
- Design and execute social listening programs for clients across industries.
- Translate large volumes of online conversations into clear insights, trends, and strategic recommendations.
- Deliver periodic and real-time reports including sentiment analysis, narrative tracking, influencer mapping, and emerging issues.
3. Reputation & Crisis Intelligence
- Monitor and flag potential reputation risks or crisis triggers in real time.
- Support crisis communication and war-room environments with data-driven intelligence.
- Track brand perception, media narratives, and competitor activity.
4. Revenue & Business Growth
- Own revenue targets for the Social Listening unit.
- Identify opportunities to upsell listening and insights programs to existing clients.
- Support business development through pitches and proposals.
5. Team Building & Leadership
- Hire, train, and manage a team of social listening analysts and specialists.
- Build a high-performing insights team with strong analytical and storytelling capabilities.
- Ensure quality control across all reports and deliverables.
6. Tools & Technology
- Manage and optimize social listening tools and platforms (e.g., Brandwatch, Meltwater, Talkwalker, Sprinklr, etc.).
- Build dashboards and automated reporting structures where possible.
- Continuously explore new technologies and AI-driven analytics capabilities.
Key Skills & Qualifications
- 8-10 years of experience in social listening, digital insights, or reputation analytics.
- Strong experience with leading social listening tools and data analysis platforms.
- Ability to convert data into clear insights and compelling narratives.
- Client management and presentation skills are a plus.
