Job Description:
The Social Compliance Auditor supports ethical sourcing and social responsibility initiatives across the textile, apparel, and footwear supply chain. This role partners with suppliers, internal teams, and external stakeholders to assess compliance with workplace, environmental, and health and safety standards; strengthen supplier capabilities; and drive continuous improvement in responsible manufacturing practices.
Key Responsibilities:
· Conduct onsite social compliance audits across Asia, including factory walkthroughs, document reviews, and worker interviews
· Assess supplier performance against company standards, international labor requirements, and environmental, health, and safety expectations
· Identify risks, document findings, and recommend corrective actions to improve compliance and working conditions
· Prepare audit reports and support suppliers in developing and closing corrective action plans
· Provide training and capacity-building support to suppliers on compliance standards and continuous improvement
· Partner with cross-functional teams on supplier onboarding, assessments, and risk-based audit planning
· Track audit documentation, monitor progress, and escalate critical findings when needed
· Stay informed on regional labor laws, regulatory requirements, and emerging industry standards.
Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s degree in sustainability, corporate social responsibility, human rights, law, or a related field, or equivalent experience
· At least 3-5 years of experience in social compliance, EHS, or quality systems within textile, apparel, or footwear manufacturing
· Proven experience conducting factory-based social compliance audits and supporting corrective action plans
· Knowledge of key standards and frameworks such as WRAP, SEDEX/SMETA, amfori BSCI, SA8000, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, C-TPAT, ILO conventions, and local labor laws
· Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills, with the ability to work independently and across cultures
· High integrity, professionalism, adaptability, and willingness to travel 40–60% within Asia and occasionally internationally
· Preferred: supplier training and capacity-building experience, work with global brands, and experience in social impact or women’s empowerment initiatives.
Working Conditions:
· Combination of remote work and onsite factory visits
· Extended periods of sitting, standing, and computer-based work
· Frequent travel across the region and occasional international travel
· Flexibility to work across time zones and outside standard business hours when required.
- Location: Gurugram (On-site) – Candidates must be willing to work onsite in Gurugram 2–3 days per week. This is a mandatory requirement for the role*.
- Must have prior experience in the Apparel/Textile industry.*
- International travel experience for conducting compliance outside India is mandatory.*
