Hiring: SOC Manager | Cybersecurity | Hybrid
Saptang Labs Private Limited is looking for an experienced and technically strong SOC Manager to lead and evolve our Security Operations Center into a mature, engineering-driven, intelligence-led, and outcome-focused security capability.
This is a hands-on technical leadership role focused on SOC Operations, Threat Hunting, Threat Intelligence, Detection Engineering, Incident Response, Security Automation, and continuous improvement of SOC capabilities.

Key Responsibilities:
- Lead 24×7 SOC monitoring and security operations.
- Manage SIEM/SOAR engineering and the detection lifecycle.
- Lead high-severity security incidents and incident response activities.
- Develop and maintain high-fidelity security detections using Sigma, YARA, KQL, EQL, SPL, AQL, and Regex.
- Conduct proactive and intelligence-driven threat hunting across endpoint, network, identity, cloud, and application environments.
- Investigate malware, ransomware, phishing, BEC, APT, cloud, and account-compromise incidents.
- Operationalize Cyber Threat Intelligence and convert intelligence into detections and hunting hypotheses.
- Track APT groups, adversary infrastructure, malware, campaigns, and TTPs.
- Perform malware analysis, digital forensics, attack-path analysis, and root cause analysis.
- Work with SIEM, EDR/XDR, IDS/IPS, firewalls, IAM, cloud, SaaS, and endpoint security technologies.
- Develop and maintain SOAR playbooks and security automation workflows.
- Build security automation using Python, PowerShell, Bash, and SQL.
- Apply MITRE ATT&CK, Cyber Kill Chain, and NIST Incident Response Framework across investigations.
- Develop SOC procedures, runbooks, investigation standards, and escalation processes.
- Mentor and technically guide SOC analysts across L1/L2/L3 levels.
- Conduct post-incident reviews and continuously improve detection, response, and security operations.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Digital Forensics, Information Security, or a related field.
- 8+ years of cybersecurity experience in SOC, Incident Response, Threat Hunting, Threat Intelligence, or Detection Engineering.
- 3+ years of hands-on experience in Threat Hunting and/or Incident Response.
- Strong enterprise security incident investigation and response experience.
- Hands-on experience with SIEM and EDR/XDR platforms.
- Strong knowledge of MITRE ATT&CK, Cyber Kill Chain, NIST Incident Response Framework, and Threat Modeling.
- Experience developing, tuning, and maintaining security detection rules and use cases.
- Experience in Threat Intelligence, IOC analysis, OSINT, APT tracking, Malware Intelligence, and Threat Actor Profiling.
- Knowledge of ISO 27001, SOC 3, PCI-DSS, and HIPAA security and compliance requirements.
- Strong scripting/programming skills in Python, PowerShell, Bash, and SQL.
- Excellent analytical, investigation, problem-solving, leadership, and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience leading high-severity security incidents and response activities.
- Hands-on expertise in APT, ransomware, and advanced cyber attack investigations.
- Practical experience with cloud incident response across Azure, AWS, or GCP.
- Strong SOAR playbook development and security automation experience.
- Knowledge of Detection-as-Code and automated detection workflows.
- Experience with Git/GitHub and CI/CD security workflows.
- Technical expertise in malware analysis and reverse engineering.
- Practical experience in digital forensics.
- Experience with Red Team, Blue Team, and Purple Team exercises.
- Proven ability to build and manage enterprise-level Threat Hunting programs.
