The role involves developing and validating data pipelines, working on Snowflake-based cloud data solutions, and collaborating with engineering teams in a delivery-driven environment. Strong SQL skills and hands-on project experience are essential.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
The day-to-day development activities will need knowledge of the below concepts:
- Good working knowledge of Snowflake — table types (Permanent, Transient, Temporary), stages, file formats, Snowpipe, and basic Snowflake query mechanics.
- Solid SQL skills — joins, subqueries, aggregations, window functions, and ability to write clean, efficient queries for data transformation use cases.
- Good understanding of ETL/ELT concepts and exposure to at least one data pipeline tool (ADF, Airflow, dbt, Matillion, or equivalent).
- Basic understanding of dimensional data modelling — Star Schema, Facts and Dimensions, and data warehouse layering concepts.
- Should have worked on at least 1 end-to-end data engineering project involving Snowflake or a comparable cloud data warehouse.
- Ability to write and execute test cases to validate pipeline outputs and data accuracy.
- Good understanding of SDLC basics — source control usage, ticket-driven development, and documentation practices.
- Ability to work within a team, communicate progress clearly, and raise blockers proactively.

SECONDARY SKILLS:

- Familiarity with any BI tool (Power BI, Tableau, Looker) that consumes Snowflake data is good to have.
- Knowledge of Azure DevOps or GitHub for source control is good to have.
