About the Role
We are hiring a Snowflake Administrator for a contract engagement with one of our corporate clients. The ideal candidate should have strong hands-on experience in Snowflake account administration, production support, and system reliability.
This role is critical in ensuring platform stability, performance, and scalability across data infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and administer Snowflake accounts, including user roles, access control, and security policies
- Monitor system performance, availability, and reliability to meet SLA requirements
- Implement and maintain observability and monitoring tools for logs, metrics, and alerts
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex production issues across data infrastructure
- Ensure high availability and fault tolerance of Snowflake environments
- Collaborate with engineering and data teams to optimize data pipelines and query performance
- Perform resource monitoring, cost optimization, and workload management
- Support incident management (L2/L3) and root cause analysis
Required Skills & Experience
- Strong hands-on experience in Snowflake Administration (Mandatory)
- Expertise in:
- User & role management
- Security & access control
- Warehouse & resource management
- Experience in performance tuning and query optimization
- Exposure to monitoring/logging tools (Grafana, Splunk, etc.)
- Strong troubleshooting skills in production environments
- Good understanding of cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP)
- Experience working in high-availability and scalable systems
Preferred Skills
- Experience with data pipelines / ETL tools
- Knowledge of CI/CD and automation scripting
- Exposure to data engineering workflows
- Prior experience in client-facing roles
Key Requirements
- Snowflake Admin experience is mandatory
- Immediate joiners or short notice candidates preferred
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
