Expert Quality Reviewer (Contract)

At Snorkel AI, we are advancing the field of data development and looking for a detail-oriented Expert Quality Reviewer to help drive the quality of our AI training data. In this role, you will have the opportunity to make a significant impact by ensuring data accuracy and consistency across a range of projects. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, exceptional written and verbal English abilities, and a keen eye for detail. This role will involve close collaboration with internal teams and require research and strategic thinking to systematically enhance data quality. This role requires a minimum weekly 20 hour commitment, but will not exceed 40 hours per week. Responsibilities: Review data for quality - including accuracy, grammar, appropriateness, and other criteria. Edit data to ensure it meets quality standards as defined by Snorkel’s internal guidelines. Perform analysis and research to support data quality reviews across various topic areas. Identify patterns of data quality issues and propose systematic ways for improving quality. Collaborate with internal teams to drive higher data quality within the program. Minimum Qualifications At least a Bachelor’s degree in a writing-oriented discipline (English, History, Philosophy, or similar) or a quantitative field (Mathematics, Physics, Engineering, or similar ) or in life sciences (Biology or similar) Exceptional written and verbal English skills, including grammar, tone, and usage Excellent attention to detail and ability to identify even minor inconsistencies or errors in content Strong analytical skills and an eye for logical consistency Intellectual curiosity across a range of topics Familiarity with consumer AI products US-Based, with US work authorization Preferred Qualifications Graduate degree in a writing-oriented discipline (English, History, Philosophy, or similar) or a quantitative field (Mathematics, Physics, Engineering, etc) or in life sciences (Biology, Chemistry, Environmental Science or similar) or Medical Disciplines (Psychiatry, Anaesthesiology, Nursing, or similar) Professional writing experience (copywriter, journalist, technical writer, editor, or similar) Familiarity with AI, data labeling, or content annotation platforms Strong interest in working with and manipulating AI models Be Your Best At Snorkel Snorkel AI is on a mission to make machine learning practical for everyone, and it starts with building a team that welcomes, represents and gives opportunity to all.
