What does your role bring to the table?
The Senior Manager of Training reports to the
Senior Director of Training & New Restaurant Execution and plays a key role
in bringing Snooze’s people-first culture to life through learning and
development. This role leads the vision and execution of training programs that
equip Snoozers with the skills, confidence, and know-how to deliver standout
brunch experiences every day.
By creating scalable, easy-to-use training
tools and programs, this leader helps ensure every restaurant is able to
consistently execute at a high level. As a trusted partner to Operations and
cross-functional teams, the Senior Manager of Training connects big-picture
priorities to what actually happens in our restaurants. They remain closely
connected to the field to keep things real, relevant, and always improving.
Ultimately, this role helps Snooze grow in a way that stays true to who we are
through fueling our people, strengthening our culture, and making every morning
a little brighter for our Guests.
The Position specifics!
Taking on the role of Senior Manager of
Training isn’t just about bacon and pancakes. The responsibilities of this
position include:
Training Strategy & Impact
- Own the strategic roadmap for operational
training, including annual priorities and long term capability development.
- Develop, oversee, and continuously evolve the
company‑wide operational training framework, ensuring alignment across
positional, management, and special‑initiative training.
- Create and manage training governance,
including standards, decision criteria, and accountability mechanisms.
- Establish success metrics for operational
training programs and evaluate performance against business outcomes such as
execution consistency, adoption, and restaurant performance.
- Serve as a strategic thought partner to
Operations, People, and executive leaders, guiding training priorities and
ensuring capability development supports current and future business needs.
Training Design, Delivery & Program Execution
- Lead the execution of technical, behavioral, and cultural training
programs that drive consistent restaurant‑level performance and support Snooze’s key business initiatives.
- Design, deliver, and continuously improve scalable operational training
solutions for hourly and management roles, ensuring training is practical,
brand‑aligned, and impactful at the restaurant level.
- Partner closely with Instructional Design to translate operational needs
into effective learning solutions across facilitated training, video content,
and LMS‑based resources.
- Direct the Snooze train-the-trainer program by setting education
standards, leading certifications and recertifications, and partnering with
Operations leaders to ensure quality, consistency, and engagement.
Leadership Development & Team Management
- Lead, develop, and inspire a team of training leaders and specialists,
establishing clear expectations, performance standards, and development plans
aligned to business priorities.
- Serve as a hands‑on training partner to restaurant leaders by providing tools, guidance,
and coaching that build confidence, capability, and accountability.
- Contribute to leadership development initiatives such as Study with a
Fork by supporting curriculum delivery, facilitation, and experiential learning
components.
Field Partnership & Operational Execution
- Maintain a strong connection to the field through regular restaurant
visits and observation, using firsthand insights to inform training updates and
coach leaders on execution.
- Support New Restaurant Openings by partnering with the NRO team to
ensure training readiness, alignment, and strong on‑the‑ground execution during openings and follow‑up support.
- Demonstrate flexibility to support special projects and evolving
operational needs, including time in restaurants to coach, support, and
reinforce training execution.
Cross-Functional Collaboration & Business Operations
- Influence and manage assigned operational training budgets, balancing
cost awareness with the need to deliver effective, high‑impact learning solutions.
- Partner with Operations leaders to ensure alignment, quality, and
consistency of training execution across the business.
- Collaborate across teams to ensure training solutions support broader
business initiatives and operational priorities.

Let’s talk prerequisites! (Education, credentials, and
experience)
- 6+ years of direct
restaurant experience in hourly or managerial roles
- 4+ years of direct
training application experience, including execution of training tools and
systems within hospitality or relevant industry
- 3+ years working in a
leadership position that includes direct supervision of others and strategic
execution of company goals
- Must be authorized to
work in the United States
- Extensive expertise
with Microsoft Office Suite (including but not limited to Word, Excel,
PowerPoint, and Teams)
- Experience with Adobe
Creative Cloud (Including, but not limited to, InDesign, Adobe Captivate,
Illustrator, and Photoshop)
- Experience with other
eLearning authoring and content tools (including but not limited to SCORM, Articulate,
Lessonly, Storyvine, Brainshark, etc.)
- Experience with
Wisetail LMS and Operations Platform (not required, but preferred)
- Must be authorized to
work in the United States

- Must have the stamina
to work 45 to 55 hours per week
- The travel required
for this position is approximately 10%, and you must be able to travel for up
to 5 days at one time (air, car, bus, train, and weekend travel all required)
- Home base is in
Denver, CO, at the Snooze Restaurant Support Center
The Nitty Gritty Details
Denver area base salary range: $90,000 to 120,000 annually
The base salary range above represents the low and high
ends of the Snooze salary range for this position. Actual salaries will vary
and may be above or below the range based on various factors, including but not
limited to experience, education, training, location, merit system, quantity or
quality of production, responsibilities, and regular and/or necessary travel.
The range listed is just one component of Snooze’s total compensation package
for employees.
