Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Surface Mount Technology (SMT) Engineer, located in Ahmedabad. The SMT Engineer will be responsible for overseeing and optimizing the Surface Mount Technology production processes. Day-to-day tasks will include programming and operating SMT machines, ensuring product quality, maintaining and troubleshooting equipment, and collaborating with teams to improve production efficiency. Additional responsibilities involve ensuring compliance with safety standards and maintaining documentation of processes and outcomes.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in SMT machine programming, operation, and troubleshooting
- Understanding of quality assurance processes and experience in quality control for electronics manufacturing
- Ability to evaluate and optimize SMT production processes for efficiency and accuracy
- Experience with equipment maintenance, servicing, and repair in a manufacturing environment
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Team collaboration skills and ability to work effectively in a fast-paced production setting
- Bachelor’s degree in Electronics Engineering, Mechatronics, or related field is preferred
- Familiarity with industry safety standards and compliance is an advantage
- Up-to-date knowledge of SMT technologies and best practices
