Job Title: General Insurance SME
Location: Coimbatore, India
Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Subject Matter Expert (SME) in the General Insurance to join our team in Coimbatore. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 20 years of domain experience across India, APAC, the Middle East, and US/Europe markets, along with at least 10 years of hands-on experience in IT services or the Insurance IT Product/Platform industry. Certifications from the Insurance Institute of India (III) or an equivalent institution are required.
Key Responsibilities:
Domain Expertise & Consulting:
- Provide expert guidance on General Insurance products, regulations, and market trends across different geographies.
- Analyze business requirements and translate them into IT solutions aligned with industry best practices.
- Work closely with clients and stakeholders to enhance business processes and optimize insurance product offerings.
IT Services & Product/Platform Expertise:
- Collaborate with IT teams to design, develop, and implement insurance technology solutions.
- Contribute to the development and enhancement of insurance platforms/products with domain-specific insights.
- Support pre-sales, solutioning, and proposal development by providing domain expertise.
Regulatory & Compliance Advisory:
- Stay updated on global and regional insurance regulations and ensure solutions are compliant with industry standards.
- Assist in risk assessment, policy framework development, and compliance reporting.
Training & Knowledge Management:
- Conduct training sessions, workshops, and knowledge-sharing initiatives for internal teams and clients.
- Develop domain-specific documentation, best practices, and case studies.
Required Qualifications & Experience:
- Experience: Minimum 20 years in General Insurance, with 10+ years in IT services or Insurance IT Product/Platform industry.
- Certifications: III (Insurance Institute of India) or equivalent industry certifications.
- Geographical Exposure: Experience working with insurance businesses in India, APAC, Middle East, US, or Europe.
- IT & Digital Expertise: Exposure to digital transformation in insurance, insurtech solutions, or core insurance platforms.
- Skills:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and client interaction skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Knowledge of policy administration systems, underwriting, claims, and actuarial processes.
- Experience with cloud-based insurance solutions, automation, and AI-driven insurance applications.
- Hands-on experience in Agile/DevOps environments.
