Job Summary:
SmartSource currently has an opportunity for a professional and experienced individual to fill the role of Production Supervisor. As a Production Supervisor, your primary responsibility will be planning and executing the preparation of rental equipment by established deadlines for client orders. You will lead a small team of direct reports and assigned resources from other departments. Equipment preparation includes software imaging, configuring, and testing of computers and laptops (PC & Mac), laser printers, copiers, IT-related equipment, large display monitors, and other tradeshow equipment. Additional duties include inventory management of company assets, maintaining quality control standards of outgoing and incoming equipment, as well as general warehouse duties such as shipping and receiving.
This position requires a strong leadership background and a strong knowledge of IT technologies.
Responsibilities:
- Planning and organizing production schedules.
- Supervising a team of direct reports and field techs working in the production area.
- Assessing project and resource requirements.
- Enforce production procedures and quality control standards.
- Act as the technical lead for the branch.
- Review and verify technical requirements for client orders; pull equipment from stock; prep, test, and stage for fulfillment.
- Prepare and image computers for client orders.
- Manage and keep the servers and network in working order and up to date.
- Collaborate with the Image Management Team to create/store client images in a systematic manner.
- Keep the production area clean and organized daily.
- Fielding technical service calls from peers and clients.
- Work with Project Managers, Solutions Architects, and Field Technicians on proper order configuration and requirements.
- Ensure accurate recording of inventory transactions in ERP.
- Assist with developing quality control standards.
- Assist in training other members of technical staff.
- Maintain physical organization of IT product group stock in the warehouse.
- Support Operations Manager in day-to-day functions as directed.
Qualifications:
- 3+ years of leadership experience is required.
- Experience managing day-to-day activities for a small team of technicians.
- Experience and understanding of installing, configuring, and maintaining IT network equipment.
- AV skills and experience are a plus.
- Must have a “can-do" attitude, strong customer service focus, and effective communication and people interaction skills as this position interacts directly with internal and external customers.
- Highly detail-oriented, well-organized, meticulous, and accurate; ability to think and work independently and meet deadlines.
- Ability to manage stress effectively in high-pressure situations.
- A desire to continually improve performance and take it to the next level.
- Ability to work evenings and weekends as needed.
