Full Stack Developer (6-month contractual)

This role is for a substantial, fast-growing and well respected UK Date Provider firm who has hired us to exclusively recruit for them. It is a contractual Work From Home position and everyday you’ll be working directly as part of their UK team. It is a senior role with real opportunities to learn and develop.

They are looking to hire for a contractual position.

Location: Contractual Remote Work from Home in India

Experience: 5+ years

Shift Timings: 12pm - 9:30pm (Summer), 1pm - 10:30pm (Winter)

Roles and responsibilities

• Building new and improving existing frontend components in our platform codebase
• Modifying internal API endpoints to return new datasets
• Collaborating with product managers and designers to scope feasibility

Essential skills and experience

• 1 year+ commercial experience with Vue.js
• And more broadly 3+ years frontend JavaScript/HTML/CSS experience
• 1 year+ commercial experience using a Python framework for backend development including API development (ideally with Django and DRF)
• Very clear communicator with both other engineers and less technical PMs and designers. Capable of interpreting less detailed requirements/specs and explaining complexities
• Will be working fairly independently so good at managing own time and knowing when and how to ask for help
• But also working with a reasonably large codebase with some legacy areas needs to be confident working with unfamiliar technologies and investigating and resolving tricky issues independently

Desired skills and experience

• Experience working on a data-heavy SaaS platform
• Some familiarity with ensuring decent db (Postgres) performance when building backend APIs
