<strong>Role Overview</strong><br> The Cerner Application Analyst provides advanced application support, configuration, and optimization for a vendor‑hosted Oracle Cerner EHR platform. This role supports enterprise-wide EHR operations, enhancements, and integrations, working closely with IT, clinical stakeholders, and vendor teams. The position serves as a subject matter expert across multiple Cerner modules and plays a key role in system stability, workflow optimization, and ongoing support.<br><br>
</div><div><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></div><div><strong>EHR Application Support & Configuration</strong></div><ul>
<li>Serve as a Cerner Application Analyst supporting PowerChart implementation and optimization</li>
<li>Build and maintain Cerner PowerChart components including PowerNote, PowerForm, PowerPlan, ESH, and Dynamic Documentation</li>
<li>Provide expertise in Discern rules writing, DCWs, and system maintenance</li>
<li>Support new module implementations, including pharmacy functionality</li>
<li>Assist with system user account permissions, security, and access management</li>
</ul><div><strong>System Analysis, Troubleshooting & Operations</strong></div><ul>
<li>Lead resolution of complex application, interface, and workflow issues</li>
<li>Troubleshoot HL7, FSI, ESI, ESO, and bi-directional interface issues</li>
<li>Support foreign systems integration and report compilation activities</li>
<li>Assist staff with diagnosing and resolving system-related problems</li>
<li>Monitor system usage, data quality, and performance trends</li>
</ul><div><strong>Reporting, Documentation & Knowledge Management</strong></div><ul>
<li>Design, develop, and support custom reports using Cerner reporting tools and CCL</li>
<li>Create and maintain technical documentation, training materials, and operational procedures</li>
<li>Maintain SharePoint content related to system collaboration and documentation</li>
<li>Develop and review knowledge management artifacts and support transition to operations</li>
</ul><div><strong>Testing, Release Management & Quality Assurance</strong></div><ul>
<li>Lead and support system testing, production validation, and release management activities</li>
<li>Develop test plans, execute test cases, and support end user acceptance testing</li>
<li>Assist with system software life cycle processes and production deployments</li>
<li>Ensure adherence to change control and IT governance standards</li>
</ul><div><strong>Collaboration, Training & Continuous Improvement</strong></div><ul>
<li>Collaborate with clinical analysts to document current and future state workflows</li>
<li>Provide system training and onboarding support for new and existing users</li>
<li>Lead continuous process improvement initiatives to enhance user experience</li>
<li>Work with stakeholders to identify enhancements and present improvement recommendations</li>
</ul><div><strong>Required Qualifications</strong></div><ul>
<li>5 or more years of experience supporting healthcare IT systems and application support</li>
<li>5 or more years of experience working as an IT Systems Analyst</li>
<li>5 or more years of experience working with HL7 messaging</li>
<li>5 or more years of experience supporting foreign systems integration</li>
<li>5 or more years of experience supporting Cerner Olympus environments</li>
<li>5 or more years of experience compiling and supporting enterprise reports</li>
<li>Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Public Health, Environmental Science, or equivalent professional experience</li>
</ul><div><strong>Preferred Qualifications</strong></div><ul>
<li>Experience with Cerner CCL query language</li>
<li>Experience with Cerner HNA, Bedrock, Remedy, RLN, WQM, or RRD</li>
<li>Experience with JavaScript</li>
<li>Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, Outlook, and SharePoint</li>
<li>Experience supporting large-scale public-sector or healthcare environments</li>
