Job Title: Senior Manager - Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI)
Location: Mumbai
What you will do:
Angel One is committed to building a workplace where every individual can belong, contribute, and grow. As Senior Manager DEI , you will own and lead our DEI charter end to end, defining the strategy, shaping the roadmap, and turning intent into action, from ideation to execution to measurable impact.
This is a high-visibility role for someone who is equally comfortable with data, policy, storytelling, and stakeholder influence, and who can bring both rigor and heart to the work.
Strategy & Governance
- Assess the current state of DEI at Angel One and define a clear vision, charter, and multi-year roadmap in partnership along with the HR leadership
- Set goals, KPIs, and a DEI scorecard, and report progress regularly to the People leadership and the Group CHRO.
- Set up and run DEI governance, including council or steering committee cadences, with senior leaders as active sponsors.
Data, Insights & Rigor
- Build a data-led approach: workforce representation analytics across hiring, promotion, attrition, pay, and engagement.
- Run inclusion surveys, listening sessions, and focus groups, and translate insights into targeted action plans.
- Benchmark against industry and market best practices to keep our approach contemporary and credible.
Inclusion Initiatives & Programs
- Design and execute meaningful, outcome-oriented initiatives across gender, PwD, LGBTQ+, generational, and other dimensions of diversity, moving beyond one-off events to sustained programs.
- Drive programs such as women's leadership and mentoring/sponsorship, returnship, accessibility, and inclusive manager capability building.
- Embed inclusion into the employee lifecycle: hiring, onboarding, performance, talent reviews, succession, and promotions.
Policies & Practices
- Review, strengthen, and introduce inclusive policies and practices (e.g., parental and caregiver support, gender-affirming and accessibility provisions, anti-harassment, flexible work), working with HR, Legal, and Compliance.
- Partner with Talent Acquisition on inclusive hiring practices, diverse slates, and employer branding.
- Ensure policies are communicated well, understood, and lived on the ground.
Community Building & Engagement
- Build and nurture Employee Resource Groups (ERGs) and communities, with clear charters, leaders, budgets, and outcomes.
- Create an inclusive culture through internal campaigns, forums, learning sessions, and storytelling.
- Represent Angel One externally through industry forums, partnerships, NGOs, and benchmarking and recognition platforms.
Stakeholder Partnership
- Partner with CXOs, business heads, and HRBPs to make DEI a business priority, not just an HR initiative.
- Equip leaders and managers with the tools, nudges, and training to drive inclusion within their teams.
- Manage external vendors, consultants, and partners, and own the DEI budget.
Who you are:
- 8-12 years of experience in HR, with at least 3-5 years in a dedicated DEI role.
- Proven experience building and scaling DEI programs, not just running events, with clear examples of impact.
- Strong stakeholder management and the ability to influence and align senior leaders and cross-functional teams.
- Analytical mindset, with comfort in people analytics, survey design, and translating data into action.
- Working knowledge of Indian labour laws and policy frameworks relevant to inclusion (e.g., POSH, RPwD Act, and other applicable regulations).
- Excellent program management skills: planning, execution, and tracking across multiple workstreams.
- Strong communication, facilitation, and storytelling skills.
- Empathy, credibility, and the resilience to drive change in a fast-paced environment.
