Zvky Design Studio seeks a full-time Game Mathematician to work on-site in our Bengaluru office. As a Game Mathematician, you will develop and implement mathematical models for game mechanics and probabilities, ensuring balanced gameplay and optimal user experience. Additionally, you will collaborate with the game design and development teams to analyze and optimize algorithms, contribute to the design of in-game economies, and perform simulations to validate performance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop mathematical models for slot games, including:
- RTP (Return to Player)
- Volatility profiles
- Hit frequency
- Feature mechanics
- Bonus rounds and jackpots
- Create and validate game math using probability theory, combinatorics, and statistical analysis.
- Build simulations and conduct extensive testing to verify game performance and expected outcomes.
- Analyze game metrics and recommend improvements to gameplay balance and player engagement.
- Collaborate with game designers to translate game concepts into mathematically sound mechanics.
- Prepare and maintain detailed mathematical documentation, pay tables, and game specifications.
- Support certification and regulatory compliance requirements by providing mathematical reports and calculations.
- Review simulation results and identify discrepancies or optimization opportunities.
- Participate in game balancing throughout the development lifecycle.
Required Qualifications:
- 1–3 years of experience in game mathematics, slot game development, gaming, casino, or related industries.
- Strong understanding of:
Probability theory
Statistics
Combinatorics
Random number generation (RNG)
Expected value calculations
- Experience designing or analyzing slot game mechanics and pay structures.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and mathematical modeling tools.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and documentation abilities.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team environment.
