British broadcasting giant Sky, owned by US-based Comcast, has announced plans to cut around 2,000 jobs in 2025, which will affect 7% of its workforce. The move is part of its broader effort to modernize its customer service operations and shift towards a more digital-first approach.

Sky, previously controlled by Rupert Murdoch's media empire, was acquired by Comcast in 2018 in a $40 billion deal.
