Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site position for a Skilled Operator for trommel and shredder operations at the MSW (Municipal Solid Waste) unit, located in Ballari. The role involves operating, monitoring, and maintaining trommel and shredder equipment for waste management processes. Responsibilities include ensuring smooth machine operation, detecting technical issues, troubleshooting equipment, and adhering to safety protocols. The operator will also assist with general maintenance of the machinery and ensure compliance with environmental regulations.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in operating and maintaining trommel and shredding machines, and an understanding of waste management processes
- Basic mechanical, electrical & troubleshooting skills to identify and resolve common technical issues
- Knowledge of safety standards and practices related to waste management operations
- Good communication and teamwork skills to work effectively with the operational team
- Previous experience in a similar role or in an industrial/operations setting is beneficial
- Ability to manage physical tasks and work efficiently in a waste management environment
- Diploma or equivalent is preferred; technical certifications relevant to machinery operations are an advantage
