Job Summary for Skill Development Specialist (NCVET)
The Skill Development Specialist will be responsible for planning, developing, implementing and monitoring skill development initiatives aligned with the National Skill Qualification Framework (NSQF) and NCVET guidelines. The role requires extensive experience in curriculum development, qualification development, competency-based training, quality assurance, assessment systems and stakeholder engagement within India's skilling ecosystem. The specialist will ensure compliance with NCVET regulations and contribute to strengthening vocational education and training programs.

Qualification & Experience:
- Master's Degree in Education, Management, Social Sciences, Skill Development, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in Skill Development, Vocational Education and Training & Assessment.
- Hands-on experience working with NCVET/NSDC/SSCs/State Skill Development Missions/Government Skill Projects.
- Experience in developing NSQF-aligned Qualification Files, curricula, assessment tools and training frameworks.
- Experience managing government-funded skill development programs is preferred.
- Certification in Instructional Design, Skill Development, Training & Assessment, or related fields will be an added advantage.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and review Model Curriculum and Training Content aligned with NCVET.
- Ensure all training programs comply with NCVET, NSQF and Ministry of Skill Development & Entrepreneurship (MSDE) guidelines.
- Design competency-based learning materials, participant handbooks, trainer guides, assessment tools and digital learning content.
- Coordinate with Sector Skill Councils (SSCs), Awarding Bodies, Assessment Agencies, Training Providers, industry partners and government departments.
- Conduct Training of Trainers (ToT) and Training of Assessors (ToA) programs.
- Monitor quality assurance frameworks for training and assessment centres.
- Prepare project reports, compliance documentation, SOPs, and presentations.
- Keep updated with amendments in NCVET regulations, NSQF, National Education Policy (NEP) and other skill development policies.
- Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders for successful execution of skill development projects.
