We are looking for Graduate GIS Analysts to join our Infrastructure team on the following projects: Penrith in Cumbria - Network Rail’s North West & Central framework for Large Portfolio projects, starting with Clifton Bridge in Penrith Cumbria. Work will then develop into the Liverpool/ Manchester region. A428 Black Cat to Caxton Gibbet – St Neots, Cambridgeshire: a new 10 mile dual carriageway will connect the Black Cat roundabout and Caxton Gibbet roundabout. The scheme will provide quicker, safer and more reliable journeys.A47 Thickthorn Junction – Norwich, Norfolk: improving the junction between the A47 and the A11 near Norwich by adding two new connections to ease congestion in the area. What you'll do: Assist with the development, deployment and maintenance of the Web-GIS platforms and Field GIS Apps to fulfil the needs of your immediate team and the wider projectDevelop bespoke Web and Field GIS SolutionsIdentify and implement the most appropriate and efficient geospatial workflows and processes. Manage data, perform updates and assist integration efforts with BIMLeverage IoT and systems integration to contribute towards the project’s Digital TwinWork closely with the different GIS end users, engineers, and project teams to identify problems and provide input, advice and implementation as appropriate of GIS-based solutionsProduce maps and manage data for the A428 project in the RDP SchemeContinuously improve data – you will be motivated to investigate when errors/problems are identified within existing dataMetadata Creation and ManagementData Digitisation when necessaryDocument workflows, creating standardised process documentation and writing guidance documents What you'll bring to the role: Studying towards or having completed bachelor’s or master’s degree in Geomatics, Engineering, Computer Science, Geography, Environmental Sciences, Data Science or Software DevelopmentProactive - the ideal candidate would continuously strive to improve available GIS data; proactively searching for new information that can be integrated into the existing dataStrong interest and academic experience in programming languages & spatial databases (e.g., Python, Javascript, PostgreSQL)Experience gained during university in the ESRI ArcGIS Suite and Geographic Data Processing and ManagementEffective communicator and collaborative in approach – the role will involve working with numerous people from different disciplinesProblem solver with facilitation and negotiation skillsComfortable with standard Microsoft Office applications (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, etc.), email/internet, other IT applications.
