About the role

The candidate will support the ISS Structural and Mechanical group and perform NASA Docking System Hardware Support.  The Subject Matter Expert III is responsible for structural and mechanical integrated analysis review. 

  • Provide feedback and input on technical assessments of Docking System Hardware. 
  • Develop chart packages for supplier, management, and /or NASA customer meetings/briefings.  
  • Attend meetings/briefings and provide technical expertise of Docking System hardware as required. 
  • Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor or chain of command.

Education

  • A BS/BA degree in engineering, math or science

Experience

  • A minimum of 30 years of professional experience, with expert domain knowledge in specific engineering disciplines or specific expertise in spacecraft systems.  Manages development projects and provides leadership to engineering teams.

License, Cert or Registration

  • Current drivers’ license
  • Proof of U.S. citizenship or authorization to work in the U.S.

  • Expert domain knowledge in specific engineering disciplines.  Manages development projects and provides leadership to engineering teams.
