DevOps / SRE Test Bench Engineer
AI Test Bench Task Development | Remote | Hourly
Pay: USD 20 - 25 per hour
Commitment: 5 - 6 hours per day
Location: Fully remote

About the Role
We are expanding a test bench campaign for AI systems and need experienced infrastructure engineers to build realistic, hard troubleshooting tasks. You will design broken Linux and containerized environments that take hours to diagnose and recover, plus the automated checks that confirm the problem was truly fixed.
What You Will Do
- Design realistic failure scenarios across multi-service systems that need hours of investigation and recovery
- Build the task environments using Docker, Kubernetes, databases, queues, and service configuration
- Write reference solutions and reliable automated verifiers with clear success criteria
- Refine tasks so they are fair and cannot be solved by a prescribed runbook
- Log your hours accurately and stay active in the team WhatsApp community
What We Are Looking For
- Hands-on Linux, DevOps, SRE, platform, or infrastructure engineering experience
- Strong terminal skills: SSH, shell scripting, logs, processes, permissions, networking, and system services
- Strong Docker and Kubernetes experience, including diagnosing broken deployments
- Experience with PostgreSQL, Redis, queues, storage, replication, and recovery
- Experience troubleshooting production systems with multiple dependent services
- Familiarity with CI/CD, infrastructure as code, and cloud infrastructure
- Ability to diagnose ambiguous failures without a runbook
- A testing mindset, with experience building automated verifiers
- Python or Bash proficiency for setup, automation, and test scripts
Nice to Have
- AWS, GCP, or Azure
- Nginx, systemd, LVM, security hardening
- Distributed systems
- Familiarity with AI coding agents
