POSITION SUMMARY
Responsible for all housekeeping tasks assigned in and around the Casino. Cleans and maintains the appearance of the casino and the administrative areas and restrooms and other assigned areas, while following safety guidelines and policies and procedures to achieve Glacier Peaks Casino standards of quality.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
- Represents Glacier Peaks Casino in the most positive manner.
- Ensures all public areas of the casino are ready for operation by thoroughly cleaning, dusting, polishing and vacuuming all surfaces.
- Cleans rooms, hallways, lobbies, rest rooms, corridors, elevators, stairways, EDR, locker room area and other work areas.
- Follows all safety guidelines and organizational policies.
- Provides guests and fellow employee’s assistance, instruction and /or guidelines.
- Replenishes bathroom supplies. Cleans sinks, countertops, toilets, fixtures and all other applicable restroom needs.
- Cleans parking lot and collects outside trash.
- Transports trash and waste to disposal area.
- Maintains a professional appearance and attitude.
- Attends required department meetings and trainings.
- Performs various types of carpet and upholstery cleaning tasks, which includes identifying and removing spots, removing gum and other problems.
- Removes and replaces furniture and equipment as necessary.
- Perform duties as assigned to respond to building and weather related emergencies.
- Performs all other duties assigned from time to time.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Must be able to read and understand warning labels and Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS).
- Must be able to push and/or pull equipment weighing up to 60 pounds and be able to lift weight up to 25 pounds.
- Must be able to extend arms overhead with bending and stooping frequently and be able to stand and walk for long periods of time.
- Must be able to work with a variety of cleaning chemicals.
- Ability to work independently and on a team and be flexible with shift and days off.
- Exposure to loud and continual noise levels and a smoke filled environment.
- Must be able to obtain a Blackfeet Tribal Gaming License.
