POSITION SUMMARY
The Cashier / Floor Attendant is responsible for providing a high level of fast friendly service to patrons and employees, while conducting accurate transactions in the Casino. Serve customers coffee, pop or water. Must clean on a regular schedule throughout shift.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
· Represents Glacier Lil’ Peaks Casino in the most positive manner with internal and external guests to satisfy customer service expectations.
· Assists and maintains a comfortable and positive environment for all guests that enter the facility, as well as other employees.
· Responsible for handling Player’s Club enrollment, account balance inquiries and ecplanation of programs and events.
· Responsible for data entry of new Player’s Club enrollees’.
· Maintain security and accountability of company funds located in the cage during a shift.
· Opens, maintains, safeguards and closes a bank during an assigned shift.
· Prepares reports and paperwork needed to satisfy tax requirements, IRS regulations and title 31.
· Fill all required documents completely and accurately with legible print.
· Follow established house rules, procedures, and internal control policies.
· Assists in the training of new team members.
· Greets guests with professionalism and a friendly smile.
· Assists customers with monetary and informational needs.
· Responsible for the general maintenance and repairs such as bill acceptors, thermal and laser printers on gaming machines.
· Ensure maximum performance and reduce machine downtime by regularly servicing machine and calling Gaming machine techs.
· Trouble shoot for customers, educate customers in game functionality and pay tables.
· Perform jackpot and fill procedures.
· Properly document repair and maintenance logs.
· Ensures all public areas of the casino are ready for operation by rhoroughly cleaning, dusting and vacuuming all surfaces.
· Provides guests and fellow employee’s assistance, instuctions and /or guidelines.
· Transports trash to proper disposal area every morning.
· Maintains a professional appearance and attitude.
· Attends required department meetings and trainings.
· Conduct guest ID checks and observes suspicious behavior reports this to the supervisor or security.
· Notifies surveillance when there is a jackpot.
· Must have continual communication with security on duty.
· Addressing customer complaints and resolving problems.
· Gives change and serves non-alcoholic beverages to customers who are playing our machines.
· Maintains a neat, clean, organized, safe and comfortable work environment for employees and guests.
· Upholds Glacier Peaks’ Mission statement in all aspects of the position, by providing guests with an exciting and rewarding entertainment experience, through exceptional customer service and hospitality.
· Clean daily; work stations, slot machines, chairs and all other areas.
· Follow dress code (clean black dress pants-no jeans, clean ironed tan shirt that is purchased at Siyeh HR department, black shoes) and proper clock in procedures.
· Performs any other duties that may be assigned from time to time.
QUALIFICATIONS
· High School Diploma or equivalent.
· Six to twelve (6-12) months cash handling experience.
· Must posse’s basic math and computer skills.
· Ability to maintain effective working relationships with co-workers and the public.
· Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
· Ability to work on a flexible shift schedule.
· Ability to exercise initiative, sound judgment, logic and problem solving skills.
· Must be able to stand for long periods of time.
· Must be able to lift and carry up to fifty (50) pounds.
· Must be reliable (good attendance and punctuality), organized, flexible, and posses excellent time management skills.
· Pre-employment drug testing with applicants receiving an offer of conditional employment.
· Must be able to obtain a Blackfeet Tribal Gaming license.
