Description
PURPOSE OF THIS POSITION:
The individual will be assisting with the FP&A Function; annual budgeting process, operating variance, margin analysis and special projects. Will provide analytical support to senior management including reporting and financial presentations.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Perform monthly, YOY, budget, and forecast variance analysis.
- Assist with monitoring and reporting key performance indicators (KPI’s) including; highlighting trends and analyzing variances
- Analyze complex financial information and reports to provide accurate and timely financial recommendations.
- Perform general accounting tasks, journal entries and account reconciliations related to month end closing procedures.
- Assist with Monthly Financial reporting.
- Maintain in-house commission system, verify calculations and process commissions monthly.
- Provide support with consolidated annual budget, and quarterly forecast process
- Perform other related duties and analytical projects as needed
Requirements
KNOWLEDGE SKILLS & ABILITIES
- Advanced Microsoft Excel (ability to use complex functions and formulas), and PowerPoint skills
- Understanding of basic SQL query statements, PowerBI
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information
- Ability to think strategically, highly driven and self-motivated
- Strong organizational and planning skills
- Basic knowledge and understanding of accounting principles and concepts
- Experience performing financial analysis in a manufacturing environment
- Knowledge of Epicor (ERP) a plus but not required System
- Ability to handle stressful situations
SPECIFICATIONS FOR THIS POSITION:
- Education Required: Bachelor’s degree in business or similar
- Experience Required: 2+ years’ general accounting and analysis
