Responsibilities
- Collaborate closely with project management, engineering, procurement, and finance teams to ensure the alignment of technical solutions with commercial objectives.
- Lead the techno-commercial evaluation of tunnel construction methodologies, identifying cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality or safety.
- Prepare, review, and negotiate contracts, subcontracts, and agreements related to tunnel construction activities, ensuring favorable terms for Adani.
- Monitor and control project budgets, cash flows, and cost forecasts specific to tunneling works, providing regular status reports and risk assessments to senior management.
- Analyze technical specifications, drawings, and tender documents to develop detailed cost estimates and commercial proposals.
- Manage vendor and subcontractor relationships, overseeing procurement strategies, vendor evaluations, and ensuring compliance with contractual obligations.
- Assess project risks from both technical and commercial perspectives, implementing mitigation plans that balance cost, schedule, and quality considerations.
- Support project execution teams in resolving site technical queries, claim preparations, and change order negotiations.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of tunneling technologies, market rates, and industry best practices to enhance project performance.
- Ensure all activities adhere to Adani’s safety standards and sustainability policies, fostering a culture of responsibility and continuous improvement.
- Facilitate cross-functional communication and collaboration, promoting transparency and teamwork throughout project phases.
- Drive innovation by suggesting process improvements, new tools, or techniques to optimize techno-commercial operations.
- Prepare detailed reports, presentations, and documentation for internal stakeholders and clients, demonstrating clarity and precision in communication.
- Mentor and guide junior techno-commercial staff, promoting skills development and knowledge sharing within the team.
Qualifications
Education Qualification- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field. A Master’s degree is preferred. Experience- Minimum 10 years in the construction industry with extensive exposure to tunneling projects. - Proven track record of managing techno-commercial functions on large-scale infrastructure projects. - Experience working on complex underground works involving Tunnel Boring Machines (TBM), NATM, or similar technologies.
