Role Description The Site Supervisor is a full-time, on-site role based in Kolkata, responsible for overseeing day-to-day activities at project sites. This role includes supervising site operations, coordinating with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors, and ensuring that fabrication, erection, and commissioning work is executed according to design specifications, safety standards, and timelines. The Site Supervisor monitors workforce allocation, manages materials and equipment usage, conducts regular site inspections, and prepares daily progress reports. The role also involves enforcing safety protocols, resolving on-site issues, supporting quality control, and communicating project status and risks to stakeholders.
Qualifications
- Strong skills in site supervision and field coordination, including monitoring daily work, managing teams, and ensuring adherence to project schedules.
- Experience in mechanical project execution, such as fabrication oversight, erection of mechanical structures, and support during commissioning activities.
- Knowledge of safety standards, risk assessment, and compliance with site safety procedures and regulatory requirements.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings, mechanical layouts, and project documentation.
- Effective communication and stakeholder management skills, including reporting, documentation, and coordination with cross-functional teams.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities, with attention to detail and capacity to make timely, informed decisions on site.
- Relevant technical qualification, such as a diploma or degree in mechanical engineering or a related field; prior experience as a site supervisor or similar role in mechanical projects is highly desirable.
- Willingness to work full time on-site in Kolkata, with flexibility to adapt to project schedules and site conditions.
