Role Description The Site Supervisor is a full-time, on-site role based in Kolkata, responsible for overseeing daily project activities at interior design and build locations. The role includes coordinating with designers, contractors, and vendors to ensure work is executed according to plans, quality standards, and safety protocols. The Site Supervisor monitors progress, manages site schedules, and reports status updates and issues to project managers and studio leadership. Daily tasks involve supervising installation work, verifying measurements and finishes, inspecting materials, and resolving on-site challenges in real time. The role also requires maintaining site documentation, ensuring compliance with timelines and budget parameters, and supporting a smooth handover of completed spaces to clients.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong site supervision and coordination skills, including experience managing multiple vendors, trades, and daily on-site activities.
- Candidates should possess project management abilities such as scheduling, progress tracking, and basic resource planning to keep work on time and within defined scope.
- Candidates should possess knowledge of interior fit-out processes, materials, finishes, and construction methods relevant to residential and commercial interior projects.
- Candidates should possess clear communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with designers, contractors, clients, and internal teams effectively.
- Candidates should possess problem-solving and decision-making skills to address on-site issues, safety concerns, and quality deviations promptly.
- Candidates should possess familiarity with reading drawings and layouts, including architectural and interior design plans, and translating them into actionable site tasks.
- Relevant qualifications such as a diploma or degree in Civil Engineering, Interior Design, Construction Management, or a related field are beneficial.
- Prior experience in interior site supervision or construction supervision, proficiency in basic computer tools, and a commitment to safety and quality standards are highly valued.
