real-time construction intelligence. Our hardware platform, “Observance”, uses LiDAR scanning,
thermal imaging, and AI-powered analysis to deliver BIM Models, deviation detection, and as-built
intelligence. We are committed to pushing the boundaries of technology across diverse sectors.
Role Description
We are looking for a hands-on and technical minded Site Scanner to serve a dual function on our active project sites: operating the “Observance” scanning hardware to capture precise, AI-ready site data, and managing gate-level identity and asset scanning using Aadhaar-integrated devices as part of our agentic project management ecosystem “Kael”. This role sits at the physical intersection of the two platforms — everything this person captures on-site feeds directly into the AI intelligence layer that the entire project team relies on to make decisions. The team operates with an AI-powered project management platform as its primary working tool — all field information must be captured into the platform in real time, and its outputs used to drive delivery. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Ahmedabad, covering multiple project sites.
Responsibilities
1) Observance Scanning Operations
● Operate the LITHIC handheld scanner to capture LiDAR, RGB, thermal, and IMU data simultaneously across assigned construction floors and areas — no site preparation required.
● Plan and execute structured scanning sessions across large floor areas, maintaining completeness and overlap accuracy across all structural elements, services installations, and finishing works.
● Use the Insta360 camera in areas under active execution to generate 3D views and live progress maps for the project team.
● Support drone scanning operations by coordinating with the drone operator and following pre-programmed mission protocols for exterior and interior coverage.
● Manage on-device storage, data transfer, and upload to the processing pipeline; ensure scan data is correctly tagged by floor, zone, and date.
● Support verification of scan-based deviation reports — comparing AI-generated outputs against on-site physical conditions and flagging discrepancies to the Delivery Coordinator.
2) Gate Scanning — Labour, Material & Equipment
● Operate Aadhaar-integrated scanners at site entry and exit points to record and verify all labour attendance; upload induction, certification, and trade licence records to the platform for real-time
compliance tracking.
● Scan all vehicles carrying construction material at the gate; upload delivery challans and material records to the platform to enable downstream quality tracking.
● Record all temporary equipment entries at the gate for safety compliance tracking; ensure fitness certificates and relevant records are uploaded before equipment is deployed on site.
● Record all permanent equipment entries at the gate for quality requirement tracking prior to installation; link records to the relevant work package in the platform.
3) Site Progress Capture & Reporting
● Record physical progress observations, work-in-progress photographs, and daily site updates in the platform after every scanning session — feeding the AI intelligence layer with current as-built conditions.
● Support the Delivery Coordinator in updating milestone completion status, punch-list items, and inspection outcomes in the project management system.
● Flag any visible deviations, defects, safety violations, or non-compliant site conditions observed during scanning immediately to the relevant coordinator.
● Maintain a structured scan log recording session dates, areas covered, personnel on site, data quality observations, and any operational issues encountered.
● Maintain all scanning and gate equipment — LITHIC, Insta360, and Aadhaar scanners — in operational condition; report faults or calibration issues promptly to the Operations Manager.
Qualifications
● 2–5 years of experience in a site-based technical, survey, construction operations, or field data capture role.
● Diploma or degree in Civil Engineering, Survey Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
● Prior hands-on experience with LiDAR scanners, total stations, Aadhaar biometric devices, or similar geospatial or identity verification instruments is strongly preferred.
● Comfortable working on active construction sites including elevated structures; physically fit to carry and operate handheld scanning equipment across large floor areas for extended periods.
● Basic proficiency in digital data management, file organisation, and platform-based reporting tools.
● Strong attention to detail, punctuality, and reliability — the quality of data this role captures directly determines the intelligence the entire project team operates on.
● Good communication skills to coordinate with gate supervisors, site engineers, and the Delivery Coordinator across multiple active sites.
