Job Description – Site/Project Execution – Construction Site

Experience Required:
Minimum 10 Years in construction project execution, preferably in residential, commercial,
mixed-use, industrial, or infrastructure projects.
Reporting To
Project Manager / Construction Manager / Vice President – Projects
Role Summary
The Senior Engineer – Project Execution is responsible for end-to-end execution of
construction activities at site, ensuring completion of projects within approved timelines,
budget, quality standards, and safety requirements. The role involves coordination with
consultants, contractors, vendors, internal departments, and client representatives for smooth
execution and delivery of the project.
Key Responsibilities
1. Project Execution & Site Management
Execute construction activities as per approved drawings, specifications, and project
schedules.
Monitor daily site progress and ensure achievement of planned targets.
Coordinate civil, structural, architectural, MEP, and finishing activities.
Ensure optimum utilization of manpower, machinery, and materials.
Supervise site engineers, supervisors, contractors, and subcontractors.
Resolve site-related technical and execution issues promptly.
2. Planning & Scheduling
Coordinate with planning team for preparation and monitoring of project schedules.
Track milestones and identify delays or bottlenecks.
Prepare recovery plans for delayed activities.
Ensure timely completion of activities as per baseline program.
3. Quality Control
Ensure execution works comply with approved quality standards and specifications.
Conduct inspections and quality checks for ongoing activities.
Coordinate with QA/QC team for inspections, testing, and documentation.
Ensure proper rectification of non-conformities and defects.
4. Safety Compliance
Ensure strict adherence to site safety procedures and regulations.
Coordinate with EHS team to maintain safe working conditions.
Conduct toolbox talks and promote safety awareness among workers and staff.
Ensure use of PPE and compliance with statutory safety norms.
5. Contractor & Vendor Coordination
Monitor contractor performance and productivity.
Verify contractor bills and work measurements.
Coordinate material deliveries and vendor schedules.
Ensure contractors execute works as per approved scope and quality.
6. Client & Consultant Coordination
Attend review meetings with clients, consultants, architects, and PMC teams.
Resolve technical queries and site instructions.
Ensure implementation of consultant comments and approvals.
Maintain professional communication with all stakeholders.
7. Documentation & Reporting
Maintain daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports.
Record site instructions, delays, material consumption, and manpower deployment.
Maintain work measurement records and checklists.
Support preparation of MIS reports for management review.
8. Cost & Resource Control
Monitor wastage and control material consumption.
Support project team in cost monitoring and budget control.
Ensure efficient resource deployment to avoid delays and cost overruns.
Identify opportunities for productivity improvement.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree / Diploma in Civil Engineering.
Additional certification in Project Management or Construction Management is an
advantage.
Required Experience
Minimum 10 years of experience in construction project execution.
Experience in handling high-rise residential, commercial, villa, industrial, or mixed-use
developments.
Strong exposure to structural works, finishing works, and coordination activities.
Technical Skills
Knowledge of construction methodologies and site execution practices.
Ability to interpret drawings and specifications.
Familiarity with project planning tools such as Primavera or MS Project.
Knowledge of QA/QC procedures and safety standards.
Proficiency in AutoCAD, Excel, and project reporting systems.
