Job Description
- Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with business objectives.
- Manage supplier relationships to ensure timely delivery of quality materials.
- Negotiate contracts and agreements to achieve cost savings and value addition.
- Monitor market trends to identify potential sourcing opportunities.
- Ensure compliance with procurement policies and regulatory requirements.
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders to forecast material requirements.
- Maintain accurate procurement records and performance metrics.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the procurement process.
The Successful Applicant
A successful Site Procurement Lead should have:
- At least 10-12 years' experience in procurement of MRO Spares, Raw Materials, Packaging Materials, Capex Items, Services- preferably from Chemical Industry.
- Demonstrated expertise in vendor development and negotiations
- Knowledge about entire Procure to Pay cycle
- Knowledge about commercial terms in purchasing, Indirect taxation- GST, Customs duties, import clearance process.
- Exposure to handling and storage of chemicals including hazardous materials
- Experience in contracts negotiations and finalizations, alternate vendors development for annual contracts for services.
- Awareness about Health, Environment and Safety for procurement related activities
- Demonstrated strong Planning and organizing skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Demonstrated abilities to work and manage interfaces with other cross functional dept
- Demonstrated leadership skills to lead a team of people
