Site HR Business Partner (Sr. Manager) - Pondicherry Location: Pondicherry manufacturing site Employee Base: ~800 employees (500
300) | Language Requirement: Tamil – Mandatory About the role We are looking for a hands-on HR leader to drive people strategy and workforce engagement at the site. This role partners closely with operations to improve productivity, employee relations, and overall workplace climate. Key responsibilities Strategic partnering: Work with business leaders to design and implement people solutions that support operational objectives. Floor engagement: Lead Gemba walks, 5S activities, and other shop-floor initiatives to boost involvement and discipline. Performance & productivity: Drive efficiency programs, support appraisal cycles, and implement productivity improvements. Employee relations: Manage committees, handle grievance redressal, and maintain harmonious industrial relations. Engagement programs: Design and run site-level engagement, recognition, and climate-improvement activities. Operational support: Contribute to shutdown planning and resolve workforce-related business challenges. Candidate profile Experience: 12–15 years in HR with significant exposure to manufacturing or industrial environments. Qualification: MSW / MBA / PGD (HR) or equivalent. Core skills: Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills Workforce planning, talent management, and employee engagement expertise Knowledge of labour codes, compliance, and statutory requirements Effective stakeholder management across internal and external networks Language: Tamil proficiency is mandatory for effective shop-floor engagement.
