About the Role
The Site Execution Engineer – MEP owns site-level delivery of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, firefighting, and utility works across industrial and commercial projects. The role turns approved drawings, specifications, and BOQs into compliant execution on the ground, while keeping contractors, consultants, and internal teams aligned. It is responsible for controlling site readiness, tracking progress, resolving issues quickly, and protecting schedule and quality outcomes. The position also supports measurement verification, billing reconciliation, testing and commissioning, snag closure, and final handover. Success in this role is measured by safe execution, accurate coordination, timely milestone completion, and smooth transition from construction to handover.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and execute MEP, firefighting, and utility works at site, ensuring installation follows approved drawings, specifications, and quality requirements. This protects project integrity and prevents rework or downstream coordination issues.
- Coordinate daily with clients, consultants, contractors, and multidisciplinary teams to remove blockers and keep execution aligned. This ensures decisions move quickly and site progress stays connected to project expectations.
- Review MEP drawings, layouts, specifications, and BOQs before execution to identify gaps, clashes, and material requirements early. This reduces delays, variations, and avoidable field errors.
- Track manpower, materials, equipment, and subcontractor deployment to maintain planned productivity and milestone delivery. This keeps site operations efficient and supports predictable progress.
- Verify measurements, assist contractor billing, and support quantity reconciliation with accurate site records. This protects commercial correctness and reduces disputes during certification.
- Conduct regular inspections to ensure compliance with quality and safety standards across all installed systems. This helps maintain safe working conditions and consistent workmanship.
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports for stakeholders, highlighting progress, constraints, and corrective actions. This improves visibility and supports timely management decisions.
- Support testing, commissioning, snagging, issue closure, and final handover so systems are fully ready for client use. This ensures the project finishes in a controlled and professional manner.
Essential Skills & Technologies
- Strong working knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, firefighting, electrical distribution, and utility systems, with the ability to connect design intent to site execution outcomes. This ensures technical decisions support reliable project delivery.
- Ability to read and interpret MEP drawings, layouts, technical specifications, and BOQs with accuracy. This helps identify constraints early and execute work in line with approved documents.
- Experience in contractor coordination, site supervision, and multidisciplinary project execution in industrial or commercial environments. This supports disciplined site control and faster issue resolution.
- Basic project planning and scheduling knowledge, with working familiarity in MS Project, Primavera P6, and MS Excel as an advantage. This helps monitor progress, forecast risks, and communicate status clearly.
- Understanding of QA/QC procedures, testing and commissioning processes, and construction safety practices. This ensures work is delivered safely, compliantly, and to the expected standard.
Additional Plus
- Experience with industrial and commercial project execution is a strong advantage because these environments require tighter coordination, sequencing, and quality control.
- Exposure to billing support, measurement reconciliation, and subcontractor management will help the candidate contribute faster to site and commercial workflows.
