Role Description The Site Engineer–Mechanical Piping will oversee mechanical piping activities for industrial gas handling installations at customer sites in Chakan. This full-time, on-site role includes supervising piping and tubing work, coordinating TIG and orbital welding, and ensuring proper fabrication and installation of supports and structures. The role involves reviewing drawings, performing basic mechanical and piping calculations, monitoring stress and alignment, and ensuring compliance with relevant standards and safety requirements. The Site Engineer will plan daily work schedules, coordinate with project managers and client representatives, manage site resources, and support pressure testing and commissioning of gas handling equipment. The position requires active participation in resolving technical issues on site and maintaining accurate documentation, reports, and checklists.
Qualifications
- Diploma in Mechanical Engineering with 4-5 years of Experience or BE-Mechanical With 2-3 years of Experience in process piping projects
- Experience with Piping layouts, routing, installation, and familiarity with welding and fabrication practices.
- Demonstrated Project Management skills, including planning, scheduling, coordination with stakeholders, and documentation
- Knowledge of applicable codes and standards for industrial gas systems and pressure testing procedures.
- Strong focus on safety, quality, and compliance, with the ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills, with the capacity to lead site technicians and collaborate with clients.
