Role Description The Site Engineer role at sujata infotech is a full-time, on-site position based in Jorhat. The Site Engineer will oversee daily construction and engineering activities, including monitoring site work, coordinating with Electrical, Mechanical engineers and contractors, and ensuring compliance with structural and safety standards. Responsibilities include supervising quality control processes, verifying materials and workmanship, maintaining site documentation and reports, and communicating project status to project managers and stakeholders. The person in this role will also assist in resolving technical issues on-site, support adherence to project timelines and budgets, and collaborate closely with the project team to ensure successful delivery of assigned projects.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong on-site supervision skills and experience working on active construction or infrastructure project locations.
- Candidates should possess effective communication skills for coordinating with teams, contractors, and stakeholders, and for preparing clear reports and documentation.
- Candidates should possess quality control skills, including the ability to inspect materials, monitor workmanship, and ensure compliance with standards and specifications.
- Candidates should possess structural engineering knowledge, with an understanding of design principles, load-bearing structures, and safety regulations.
- Candidates should possess civil engineering capabilities or a background as civil engineers, with familiarity in construction methods, site layout, and project execution.
- Relevant qualifications such as a diploma or degree in Civil Engineering or a related field are preferred.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical documents, and proficiency in basic engineering tools and software.
- Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team on-site.
