Role Description The Site Engineer role is a full-time, on-site position based in Chennai. This role involves supervising day-to-day construction activities, coordinating with contractors, vendors, and internal design teams to ensure work is executed as per drawings, specifications, and quality standards. The Site Engineer monitors project progress, manages site documentation, and supports adherence to timelines, safety norms, and cost controls. Responsibilities include conducting site inspections, addressing technical issues, ensuring quality control, and reporting regularly to project managers and architects. The role also requires clear communication with stakeholders to ensure smooth execution and timely completion of interior and civil works.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong on-site supervision and site management skills, with the ability to oversee daily construction and interior fit-out activities.
- Candidates should possess effective communication skills to coordinate with clients, contractors, vendors, and internal teams, and to maintain clear documentation and reporting.
- Candidates should possess quality control and inspection skills to ensure materials, workmanship, and finishes meet design specifications and standards.
- Candidates should possess structural engineering and civil engineering knowledge to interpret drawings, resolve technical issues, and support safe, compliant execution.
- Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field is preferred, along with prior experience as a site engineer in interiors or construction.
- Ability to read and understand architectural and MEP drawings, familiarity with basic construction software/tools, and strong problem-solving skills are beneficial.
- Commitment to safety, punctuality, and professional ethics, with the ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
