Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Site Engineer role based in Chennai. The Site Engineer will oversee day-to-day site activities, ensuring work is executed according to drawings, specifications, and quality standards. Responsibilities include coordinating with contractors, suppliers, and internal teams, monitoring progress, and resolving site-related issues promptly. The role involves supervising installation and fit-out works, conducting site inspections, and maintaining safety, housekeeping, and compliance with company procedures. The Site Engineer will also prepare daily reports, support material planning, and assist in meeting project timelines and budgets.
Qualifications
- Strong on-site supervision skills with experience managing interior or construction sites (On Site).
- Effective verbal and written communication skills for coordination with clients, contractors, and internal teams (Communication).
- Experience in quality control, site inspections, and adherence to technical specifications and standards (Quality Control).
- Solid understanding of structural engineering concepts relevant to interior fit-out and construction projects (Structural Engineering).
- Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Civil Engineering or a related discipline; eligibility to work as a civil engineer (Civil Engineers).
- Proficiency in reading drawings and using basic project documentation tools (e.g., MS Office, site reporting formats).
- Knowledge of safety practices, site compliance, and construction best practices.
- Proven ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet project deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Previous experience in interior fit-out, commercial or residential projects in an on-site role is an advantage.
