Job Title: Site In-Charge – Hydro Mechanical Works
Project: Kodayar RMU (1×70 MW Unit)

Job Summary:We are seeking an experienced Site In-Charge to lead and manage on-site execution of hydro-mechanical and electro-mechanical erection activities for a 1×70 MW hydro power project. The candidate will be responsible for the erection, alignment, and commissioning support of critical components including Distributor, Turbine, Generator, and MIV (Main Inlet Valve) along with associated auxiliaries and accessories.
Key Responsibilities:- Lead and supervise complete site erection activities of:
- Turbine and its components
- Distributor assembly
- Generator (stator, rotor, auxiliaries)
- Main Inlet Valve (MIV) and associated systems
- Ensure proper alignment, leveling, and assembly as per technical drawings and standards
- Plan and monitor daily site activities, manpower deployment, and resource utilization
- Coordinate with client, consultants, and internal teams for smooth project execution
- Ensure adherence to quality standards, safety norms, and project timelines
- Review and interpret engineering drawings, technical specifications, and method statements
- Conduct inspection, testing, and pre-commissioning activities
- Prepare and maintain:
- Daily progress reports
- Work schedules and planning
- Material and manpower reports
- Identify and resolve technical and site-related issues proactively
- Ensure compliance with EHS (Environment, Health & Safety) guidelines
Experience Requirements:- Proven experience in erection of hydro turbine, distributor, generator, and MIV
- Experience in handling projects of 50 MW and above capacity preferred
- Strong knowledge of hydro-mechanical and electro-mechanical systems
- Experience in working with organizations like NHPC, UJVNL, SJVNL, or similar is an advantage

- Effective communication and coordination skills
Required Qualifications:- Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering
- Minimum 7–8 years of experience in hydro power projects
