Site Engineer – Fresher (Civil / Electrical)

Location: Tamil Nadu – Project Sites
Experience: Fresher / 0–1 Year
Qualification: Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech. in Civil Engineering or Electrical Engineering
Employment Type: Full-Time
Key Responsibilities
* Assist the Project/Site In-charge in day-to-day site execution and project activities.
* Coordinate with contractors, subcontractors, vendors, and site teams.
* Monitor site work progress and report daily activities to the reporting manager.
* Read and understand basic engineering drawings, layouts, BOQs, and specifications.
* Assist in material inspection, measurement, and quantity verification.
* Maintain daily progress reports, site records, checklists, and documentation.
* Support testing, installation, commissioning, and troubleshooting activities as applicable to the project.
* Ensure work is executed as per approved drawings, specifications, and quality standards.
* Coordinate with the engineering and procurement teams for site material requirements.
* Identify and report site issues, delays, and material requirements to the Project Manager.
* Follow company and client requirements related to quality, safety, and site discipline.
* Attend site meetings and assist in preparing progress updates.
* Be willing to travel and work at project sites across Tamil Nadu.
For Electrical Engineering Candidates
* Basic understanding of electrical systems, LT/HT equipment, panels, cables, earthing, and electrical installations.
* Assist in installation, testing, and commissioning of electrical and automation equipment.
For Civil Engineering Candidates
* Basic understanding of civil construction activities and engineering drawings.
* Assist in foundation, equipment mounting, trenching, ducting, cable route, and other civil works related to electrical/utility projects.
* Check site measurements and quantities as per drawings and BOQ.
* Coordinate with civil contractors and monitor work progress.
* Ensure civil works are completed as per approved drawings and specifications.
Skills Required
* Good basic technical knowledge of Civil or Electrical Engineering.
* Ability to read and understand engineering drawings.
* Basic knowledge of MS Excel and MS Word will be an advantage.
* Good communication and coordination skills.
* Willingness to work at project sites and travel as required.
* Ability to work independently as well as in a team.
* Good problem-solving and learning attitude.
* Strong sense of responsibility and site discipline.
* Knowledge of Tamil will be an added advantage.
Eligibility
* B.E./B.Tech./Diploma in Civil Engineering or Electrical Engineering.
* Freshers are encouraged to apply.
* Candidates with 0–1 year of site/project experience may also apply.
* Candidates should be willing to work at project sites in Tamil Nadu.
