Role Description:
We are looking for an experienced Site Electrical Supervisor (B-Class License Holder) for our prestigious JCI Industrial Fire Fighting Project in Tamil Nadu.
The selected candidate will be responsible for establishing, operating, and maintaining the complete temporary electrical infrastructure required for project execution. This includes receiving power from the client's designated source, installing the Main Power Distribution Panel, distributing power to Sub Distribution Boards, and ensuring uninterrupted power supply for project equipment, site offices, fabrication yards, labour accommodation, stores, and other temporary facilities.
The role also includes installation of temporary lighting, cable laying and termination, electrical safety compliance, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and coordination with the Project Manager, Site Engineers, Safety Team, and client representatives throughout the project duration.
Key Responsibilities:
- Receive electrical power from the client's designated supply point.
- Install, test, and commission the Main Power Distribution Panel for the project.
- Distribute power safely from the Main Distribution Panel to various Sub Distribution Boards located across the project site.
- Execute cable laying, cable termination, and electrical connections for temporary power distribution.
- Provide electrical power supply for welding machines, cutting machines, grinding machines, drilling machines, and other construction equipment.
- Provide power supply to site offices, container offices, stores, fabrication yards, labour accommodation, and other temporary facilities.
- Install temporary lighting at work locations, access routes, storage areas, fabrication yards, and other project facilities as required.
- Ensure proper earthing, electrical protection, and compliance with statutory electrical safety requirements.
- Carry out routine inspection, preventive maintenance, and troubleshooting of temporary electrical installations.
- Coordinate with Project Managers, Site Engineers, Safety Officers, and client representatives for electrical works.
- Maintain electrical tools, cables, panels, and accessories in safe working condition.
- Ensure compliance with all electrical safety regulations and permit-to-work requirements.
Must-have Qualifications:
- ITI – Electrician / Diploma in Electrical Engineering.
- Valid B-Class Electrical License (Mandatory).
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience in industrial project electrical installations.
- Experience in temporary power distribution systems for construction or industrial project sites.
- Knowledge of LT Panels, Distribution Boards, Cable Laying, Cable Termination, Earthing, and Electrical Safety.
- Willingness to work at project sites across India
Preferred qualifications:
- Experience in EPC, MEP, Fire Fighting, Industrial, or Infrastructure Projects.
- Ability to read electrical single-line diagrams (SLD) and panel drawings.
- Knowledge of electrical testing instruments and fault finding.
- Good communication and coordination skills.
- Basic knowledge of MS Office.
