Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role for a Site Civil Engineer located in Bengaluru. The Site Civil Engineer will oversee the daily planning, execution, and management of diverse civil engineering projects, spanning residential, commercial, and industrial sectors. Responsibilities include preparing and reviewing site designs, supervising day-to-day construction processes (including RCC and masonry works), and ensuring strict adherence to safety and quality standards. The role also requires extensive on-site documentation, including the handling of Measurement Books (MB), preparing Daily Progress Reports (DPRs), and compiling Bills of Quantities (BOQs). The ideal candidate will effectively manage vendors, lead site labor, and collaborate closely with project teams and clients, providing regular project updates to ensure timely, high-quality project delivery.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in Civil Engineering Design (including basic AutoCAD for drawing interpretation) and a solid foundation in Civil Engineering principles (RCC, masonry, and concrete mix execution).
- Ability to effectively plan and execute project schedules while optimizing material usage and minimizing structural wastage.
- Strong hands-on expertise in site instrumentation, precise field measurements, and verifying Bar Bending Schedules (BBS).
- Hands-on experience in on-site billing administration, including Measurement Book (MB) handling, BOQ preparation, and DPR compilation.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to confidently oversee daily project site activities, manage subcontractors, and handle vendor coordination.
- Proven ability to represent the technical team in client meetings and deliver clear, structured project updates.
- Experience in supervising construction projects with a strict focus on quality control and on-site health and safety standards.
- Diploma in Civil Engineering (strongly preferred) or a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering / a related field.
- 0 to 2 years of experience in infrastructure, building construction, or commercial projects (promising freshers with strong internship exposure are welcome).
- Proficiency in construction management software, Microsoft Excel, or digital tracking tools is an advantage.
- Excellent verbal communication, time management, teamwork, and grassroots-level leadership skills.
